These generators provide an analog signal (0–4–20 mA or 0–1–5–10 V),
enabling manual control of a machine or system. Certain versions allow switching
from an external setpoint (provided by a PLC, for example) to the local setpoint.
Depending on the model, the local setpoint can be adjusted via a potentiometer (single-turn or multi-turn) or via
pushbuttons.
The GAL48BP and GAL96D allow for the simultaneous generation of a setpoint and the display of an analog input measurement
(for example, a measurement related to the feedback of a generated setpoint)
Some versions are equipped with soft-start functionality, rise speed limitation, a preset start setpoint, or setpoint limitation. There are also versions with switchable or preset multiple setpoints.
